Description & Capabilities
With (ELAN) Transparent LAN Service (TLS), a Verizon fiber backbone is used to connect your Ethernet LANs at different locations within a metro area transport area. TLS is an ideal solution for linking multiple locations and main-office resources to create a seamless WAN environment. TLS provides Ethernet connectivity at 10Mbps, 100Mbps and 1000Mbps (GigE).
- Unlike traditional private lines, data can travel across the TLS network as fast as it does on your company's internal LAN
- TLS protects data privacy by using specialized screening software that permits subscribers to access only their data
- Verizon is responsible for network management, including fault monitoring and diagnostics, performance and network configuration applications, and manual monitoring when necessary
- Allows existing hardware to be used at your locations, avoiding the need to purchase new equipment, and easing implementation and management functions
- Customer Service Management (CSM), an optional feature, provides web-based reports, allowing you to monitor and manage network performance
